Meet Michelle Kelly — Director of Clinical Skin Care

With a passion for skincare, Michelle Kelly has attained a broad knowledge base in health, nutrition & advanced skincare. She received a Bachelors of Science in Community Health from Hofstra University, and continued her education to learn the art of esthetics. 

She completed the Gloria Francis School of Esthetics & Makeup Artistry and received a New York State license of esthetics. Having the desire to learn as much as possible, Michelle attended post-graduate courses at the Atelier Esthetique & The Dermal Institute.  She formerly co-owned La Piele Medical Spa and has as worked in various wellness centers, day spas and medispas, allowing her to achieve experience from multiple spectrums. She has been practicing esthetics full time since 2000. Michelle has worked as a spa consultant, facilitating the development of several spas as well as assisted in training estheticians on esthetics practices. 

Michelle recognizes the importance of treating the skin from the inside out. When treating the skin, she analyzes a patient's lifestyle & nutritional habits. Optimal health in addition to observational skin analysis is pertinent in creating an appropriate "results-orientated" skin care program.

Educating patients on how to care for their skin and what treatments are appropriate result in creating optimal skin wellness. Radiant, youthful skin, free of blemishes and sun damage may be achieved with diligence, and a commitment to healthy skin practices.  Says Michelle, "Your skin is a reflection of how you treat it; be good to your skin and it will be good to you".

Our practice offers a variety of glycolic facial peels that not only rejuvenate and revitalize the skin, but also help to calm the mind and body. We have special facial peels dedicated to men and pregnant women as well.

The "Organic" Custom Facial 

The "Organic" Custom Facial is a proactive approach to your skin care concerns. The activity of natural fruit and milk enzymes gently soften dead skin cells, allowing for the deepest pore cleansing and absorption of customized serums. This treatment is customized towards your individual skin type. The "Organic" Custom Facial treatment is recommended monthly for skin care maintenance.

Our Refining Superficial Peels

Chemical peels are a method of rejuvenating the skin via collagen and elastin production, as well as resurfacing the texture, clarity and smoothness of the skin. All chemicals peels are suggested in a series in order to guarantee optimal results.  Most results are visible by the third treatment. Discuss your goals and concerns with our skin care specialist and receive a complimentary customized program recommendation.

Lactic Acid Peel

The mostly gentle of all peels, the Lactic Acid Peel uses a mild exfoliant with moisture retention properties that will promote softer and smoother skin. This treatment is recommended for dull, dehydrated, oily and congested skin conditions. A series of four to six treatments, once a week is recommended.

Glycolic Acid Peel

For all skin types, the Glycolic Acid Peel promotes overall improvements in tightening and toning of the skin with two optional levels of intensity. This peel is effective at clarifying the overall complexion. A series of 6-8 treatments is recommended, every one to two weeks.

Modified Jessner's Peel

The Modified Jessner's Peel provides a synergy of exfoliants to deliver optimal results.  This peel contains strong antioxidants such as reservatrol and lycopene, and is indicated for congested, dehydrated, and hyper pigmented skin. A series of four to six treatments every three weeks is recommended.

Advanced Deep Peels

Advanced Deep Peels can only be performed in centers that operate under the direction of a supervising physician. At Advanced Laser of Long Island, we are proud to offer these peels to help patients attain beautiful, glowing skin.

Glo Alpha Beta Peel

The Glo Alpha Beta Peel contains proactive treatments to refine surface texture lessen the appearance of discoloration while clearing acne. This peel contains a blend of AHAs and BHAs to benefit multiple skin types. This peel utilizes brighteners to enhance skin tone.  The Glo Alpha Beta Peel is recommended every four to six weeks. Frequency varies based on consultation with your skin care professional.

Glo Triplex

The Glo Triplex is a synergy of effective exfoliants that provide the ultimate in anti-aging. This peel contains Mushroom Extract and Neen Leaf that firm and tighten the skin.  Sun damage, discoloration, acne breakouts, and fine lines and wrinkles will be reduced.  This peel is recommended every four to six weeks. Frequency varies based on consultation with your skin care professional.
